Apply for Bachelor Programs
All undergraduate programs at Aalesund University College are taught in Norwegian. The Norwegian Universities and Colleges Admission Service (NUCAS), also known as Samordna opptak, coordinates the admission process to undergraduate studies in Norway.
You must apply through Samordna opptak for undergraduate studies.
- The application system is primarily for Norwegian citizens and others with a permanent or renewable residence permit. You need a Norwegian ID-number to apply.
- The application form is available at Samordna opptak 1 February untill 15 April. Applicants with international education has application deadline 1 March.
- You must meet the minimum entrance requirement for Higher Education Entrance Qualification and document sufficient proficiency in both Norwegian and English language. NOKUT, the Norwegian Agency for Quality Assurance in Education has a list of general entrance requirements for applicants with an international educational background, referred to as the GSU-list. Information regarding admission requirements for many countries is available at Samordna opptak (in Norwegian only).

Norwegian language courses
Aalesund University College does not offer 1 year courses in Norwegian for international students. Other universities and university colleges may offer this. For example, Volda University College and Høgskolen i Telemark offers courses in Norwegian language and civilization for international students.
