Vacant professorships/associate professorships

To strengthen research in marine activities and ability to prepare students for future employment within the offshore industry, the Department of Technology and Nautical Sciences at Aalesund University College (AAUC) has received five endowed Professorships / Associate professorships within the management of advanced marine operations. The positions are within the fields of:

• Ship design, with emphasis on maritime concept- and business development
• Product- and system design, with emphasis on simulation and system design
• Product- and system design, with emphasis on Man- Machine interface
• Planning, training and execution of advanced marine operations
• Environmental technology for the maritime industry

AAUC cooperates with the maritime sector in order to provide the best research and education, resulting in state-of-the-art simulators for advanced training. This maritime sector is a complete cluster within offshore shipping activities, and has a position as international market leader. Advanced marine operations are at the center of this cluster.

AAUC offers a wide range of 3-year professional study programmes within Business Management, Engineering, Health Care, Fisheries and Maritime trade. In addition AAUC offers two Master programmes at present time.

AAUC has a range of research activities and act in close cooperation with Moere Research.
