Maritime courses - a separate corporation
Maritime Operations AS is already running and took over the formal responsibility for courses and seminars 01.01.2012.
Maritime Operations AS has taken formal responsibility for maritime courses at Aalesund University College from January 2012.
Aalesund University College has developed a close cooperation with the maritime industry over a period of several years. This has already led to a development involving study programs, research and a significant course activity. Industry now reports on new demands for educated labor in advanced maritime operations, which requires training opportunities with high-tech equipment for more complex conditions.
To strengthen the cooperation with maritime industry, the University College has now created a separate company: University College Aalesund - Maritime Operations AS. The company is given the responsibility of managing the courses for the benefit of maritime industry.
The company is already running and took over the formal responsibility for courses and seminars 01.01.2012. Ole Andreas Holm is general manager and the board consists of Geirmund Oltedal, Arnt Håkon Barmen and Per Ekelund (chair).
