Recruiting students across borders
AAUC strives to attract more exchange students, and use both students and faculty staff to recruit new students.
After taking part in the International Education Week at the University of California San Diego (UCSD), finance and management student Anette Helstad from AAUC reports about a significant number of potential exchange students.
- Our brochure material aroused great admiration. Ålesund and norwegian nature seem to intrigue Americans, in addition of course to the studies offered at AAUC, says Helstad, who herself is on an exchange stay at UCSD.
International focus
Aalesund University College works actively to recruit more international students to both exchange and residence for master programmes. Lately, focus has been on the so-called BRIC countries (Brazil, Russia, India and China), which has great need for expertise, combined with enormous growth potential. In November, AAUC visited universities in China and Brazil to learn more about local conditions and what requirements they set for study programs.
