Students Birgitte Anda Olsen and Stine Hungnes are the new student mentor coordinators at AAUC. They have already begun to prepare to welcome the new students in 2009.
- We will continue the same way as former mentors by helping new students to settle in both socially and technically, says Birgitte Anda Olsen.
Will lead the mentoring
Birgitte is taking her second year of Innovation and entrprenourship at AAUC. Together with her friend Stine Hungnes, who is taking the third year of Economics and Administration, they are assigned to lead the mentoring during this year. This meaning that they will organize all the voluntary students who afterwards will be sign up as mentors.
- We think that it is very important to focus at the social aspect at studying, but also informing the new students about the positive impression we have from the employees and lecturers at AAUC, says Birgitte.
- The mentor arrangements also make it very easy for new students to get friends. We also wish to get in touch with current students who wish to be mentors for new students. They can contact us personally, by e-mail or by cell phone, concludes Birgitte.
