Extra funding and work permit

Man with globe

AAUC have no extra funding available neither for Erasmus exhange students nor for other students.
Erasmus students receive all their financial support from their home institution.

Part-time work permit

  • Students may work part-time under certain conditions, limited to a certain number of hours per week during the academic year.
  • Please note that when renewing a permit the student must show satisfactory progress in his/her studies in order to continue to work part-time
  • We advice all our foreign students to check the valid regulations at The Norwegian Directorate for Immigration (UDI)

Finding part-time work for students

Most jobs in Norway require ability to communicate in Norwegian, but it might be possible to get certain part-time jobs where Norwegian skills are not required.
AAUC is unfortunately not able to help students find part-time jobs, but we suggest you contact the local employment office for assistance. Depending on how much you work, you might have to pay income tax (the local employment office can inform you about this):
