For exchange students

Hands

The following information is valid only for exchange students, studying 1-2 semesters at AAUC as part of their programme at home.

AAUC does not offer fulltime undergraduate/bachelor degree study programmes in English, but some courses are taught in English to facilitate student exchanges. You will find a list of available courses taught in English, sorted by semester, with links to course descriptions in the menue.

Exchange students who fullfill the entrance requirements for our master programmes, may apply for admittance to courses taught in English in these programmes. Acceptance is provided faculty approval and available places on the courses in question. Please note that courses on master degree level require a very good command of English.

Project work/thesis

In addition to the courses listed, project work/thesis under supervision (in English) from our faculty staff are offered in all study programmes both semesters - provided faculty capacity. The number of ECTS credits may vary according to agreement with home institution (up till 30 ECTS credits which is normal workload per semester). Exchange students can also combine attending courses and doing project work. The topic of a project work will depend on the student's academic background and the field of specialisation of possible tutors.

Please note that students at AAUC usually do project work in groups of 2-3 students.
Please also note that for several courses at AAUC, group assignments are a mandatory part of the work load.

Courses taught in Norwegian, available for exchange students

Exchange students may in principle attend all courses taught in Norwegian, provided that they meet the courses' entrance requirements and have a good command of the Norwegian language (or possibly Swedish and Danish). Courses taught in Norwegian are only published on our Norwegian web, categorized by study programme.

Normal workload

Normal workload for fulltime students is 30 ECTS credits per semester. Exchange students may take less credits during their stay, depending on approval of home university.
Please however note that for non-EU/EEA students the requirements for getting a student residence permit to Norway granted is normally 30 ECTS credits per semester.

Grade scale

AAUC uses the grades A-F, where F represents failure (E is the minimum passing grade).
Pass/Fail are used on some courses.
