Entry requirements:
General college entrance requirements with additional qualifications in Mathematics, and one of the following: Biology, Physics or Chemistry.

- To provide theoretical and practical education for students who plan to work within the field of biomedical laboratory science
- To develop knowledge and skills in accordance with the society's demand for biomedical laboratory science
- To qualify the students for official authorisation as Biomedical Laboratory Scientist (BLS)

Structure and activities:
The biomedical laboratory science program is a three-year program based on the framework plan provided by the Department of Education and Research (2004). Each year of study consists of two semesters.
- 60 ECTS natural science studies
- 15 ECTS social studies, consisting of communication and ethics
- 75 ECTS medical laboartory science classes
- 30 ECTS laboratory work at hospitals
