Duration:

3 years, full time study

Degree:

Bachelor of Engineering

Entry requirements:

General college entrance requirements with additional qualifications in Physics and Mathematics.

Aims and objectives:

Hondarobot

  • To provide a good theoretical and practical education for students who plan to work as cybernetic engineers and a solid foundation for graduate students
  • To develop the ability to collaborate and communicate with colleagues as well as people who are not cybernetic specialists. On completion of the programme it is expected that student will be able to work with a wide range of other users, including specialists from other fields
  • To develop relevant understanding of ethical considerations in relation to cybernetics, and stimulate reflection on development and application
  • To be able to meet the need for maintenance and user service, by emphasizing cybernetic systems in the study program

Teaching methods:

Teaching is in the form of lectures, labs and practical projects, with and without supervision.
Methodology and project oriented approach are particularly emphasized in this programme. Many of the subjects also require the completion of individual projects and group projects.

The faculty makes extensive use of lab work, Internet and web technology in creating an active and

challenging learning environment for the students.

Structure and activities:

Each year of study is divided into two semesters, with the following main structure:

  • Year 1:
Basic courses, math, electronics and basic computer science courses - programming languages, object oriented programming.
  • Year 2:
Math and physics. Computer systems and computer network. Electronics, instrumentation and industrial cybernetics.
  • Year 3:
Real time computer programming. Cybernetics, Knowledge Based system and Artificial Intelligence. The specialization is culminating in the completion of a main project (small thesis).
