The Quota Scheme
The Quota Scheme is a scholarship programme offered by the Norwegian Government to students from certain countries in the South, Central and Eastern Europe and Central Asia. Aalesund University College only admits students from partner institutions under the Quota Scheme.
The Quota Scheme students receive financial support through the Norwegian State Educational Loan Fund (Lånekassen) on mainly the same conditions as Norwegian students, i.e. funding is given as grants and loans, but their educational loan will be remitted when the quota students return to their home countries after completing their studies. If a quota scheme student does not return to the home country according to the Quota Scheme requirements, he/she will need to pay back the financial support received.
For more information see the following sites about the Quota Scheme from SIU and the State Educational Loan Fund.
