Foreign students normally stay in student hostels run by the Student Welfare Organisation , Ålesund division.
The Norwegian name is Studentsamskipnaden for Sunnmøre.

• Exchange students apply for accomodation by filling in page "Accomodation" of the exchange students application form.
• Non-exchange students (bachelor and master degree students) must apply directly to the Student Welfare Organisation.

Aalesund University College normally assists foreign students in finding accomodation in Ålesund. Non-exchange students who need assistance in finding accomodation should state this in the application form.
